Markets.
Stroud farmers’ Market runs every Saturday from 9am -2pm and is well known as one of the most pleasant markets in the country.
Recently celebrating its 25th Birthday, the market has gone from strength to strength over the years and now hosts over 50 stalls of very fine local produce every week.
The market is blessed with a very high percentage of primary producers (farmers) selling their own produce, with 5 livestock farmers, 5 - 8 vegetable and fruit growers (seasonal), 7 cheese makers per month, 4 bakers plus a host of other fabulous producers and makers.
The market is a popular destination with visitors from all over the country, but at its heart is the staunch support of the locals and their generally convivial nature.
Ther are Street Food stalls as well as a market café in the market Square for food to go and of course, everything you might need for the weekly shop.
The market runs every Saturday (apart from between Christmas and New Year) from 9-2 in the Cornhill Market Square, Union Street and Threadneedle Street.
